Our goal in Education is to see an improvement the level of access to assistive technology (AT) by students of all ages and their families. To do this, there must be an increase the numbers of students who receive assistive technology, AT services, and information.

FUNDING FOR ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY
Iowa COMPASS provides information to Iowa consumers and family members about potential sources of funding for the purchase of assistive technology. When a consumer requests assistance in finding funding for a specific piece of equipment, the Funding Specialist will ask a series of questions to determine which public programs and private organizations might be able to help. They will then send the caller a packet of information, which include fact sheets on funding sources, loan closets, and alternative funding resources.
