The National Centre for Women Development (NCWD) is a non-political, not for profit public organisation established by Federal law, and run by a governing council made up of eminent and distinquished Nigerians.

The Centre was built from donations from public-spirited Nigerians, institutions, individuals and governments including composite support from bilateral and mutilateral sources.

It represents a rich endowment by Nigerian women for their cause both in facilities and aesthetics, as well as its critical mandate in the world of development.

Established in 1992, the Centre is located in generous grounds in Abuja, Nigeria’s new Federal Capital Territory, within the well-appointed Central Business District. It is easily accessible, and in close proximity to all the major hotels as well as the prestigious International Conference Centre.
