It has several research proposals on ground, but these are yet to take off as the centre has only just recently begun to develop the technical facilities to carry out its desired research , It is presently trying to compile a list of the 100 women activists in the Nation. The desires of the department include, the monitoring of activities of women. In actuality, the UNDP set up the standard framework foe gender research. The department aims at providing certain information like; Which women are where?, Where capable women are?. In fact, it has been discovered that at the federal level i.e, (level 15 and above ) there are at least 450 women.

Thus, there exists a cooperation between NCWD and UNDP;

  • to build up the center as a databank on gender issues
  • to highlight works of women
