Oko

Oko is a small language spoken by about 10,000 speakers in Kogi State, Okene LGA, in Ogori and Magongo towns, ten miles south southwest of Okene. Lexicostatistical comparison with other languages like Yoruba, Ebira, Edo, Igbo and Idoma showed that is only distantly related to all of them and therefore should be classified in a separate division from all of them.
