I welcome all our honoured guests to this occassion . I thank you all for coming. I guess it would only be appropriate for me, at this juncture to invite Dr. Phillip Ostien to tell us why he has invited us here tonight.

I welcome you all to this occasion. we are here in honour of Mrs A.B.Ojoade. She is such a hard working lady. I would at this time like to welcome our VC. I would further like to welcome Mallam Ibrahim from NUC Head Quarters, Abuja. I would definitely like to welcome St. Cliff from the United States of America. I would also like to welcome all our spouses, However, it seems like most of the MIS people did not come with their wives....I wonder why!!.

I must say that I am an honoured guest.....an extremely honoured guest. I remember something Mrs Ojoade did 2 years ago...at my send off party and now I am delighted to be able to repay her and thus I have this to present.

I have been asked to say a few words about Mrs Ojoade. Mrs Ojoade is a very influential woman having links not only in Jos. She is well known not only in Nigeria but even in Iowa. This can be seen by her ability to draw Mr Cliff Missen here.
Mrs Ojoade has made tremendous contribution to Univeristy of Jos. She has actually made
so many contributions to UJ, it is difficult to pick one out. Library takes a
leadership role in the University under Mrs Ojoade. As we all know, recently we
acquired VSAT. She played a very significant role for this to happen and this is something
I want us to all know.
With most ICT projects, when we start a plan, it seems almost impossible especially when
we consider the hurdles.
However, when this project was to start, Mrs Ojoade volunteered library funding for this
project which propelled the promotion that brought us to this point. This is one thing I
must say...
I was asked to make a few remarks and a few remarks I will make...
I must say we will miss
you!!
