Hiring individuals with the proper skills and attributes contributes to the University's ability to meet its core values. Best practices for recruitment and selection process will be explained and discussed during this course. The first half-hour will be devoted to merit employment issues; the remainder of the class will address faculty and P & S procedures.

- Understand and appropriately complete the steps in the process for hiring merit staff.

- Understand the diversity goals for the University when applied to selecting employees.
