Explore your own style and strengths and then learn how to use them to work with others. Practice techniques like delegation, decision-making, communication styles, and balancing tasks with relationships to "Lead for Success."

- Developing ground rules or behavioral norms, and
- Managing change
Objectives:
- Understand the various styles of decision-making and then select the appropriate style for the situation.
- Become familiar with the Stages of Group Development as developed by Bruce Tuckman;determine what stage their work group is in; and support the group as necessary to move toward the next higher level – always aiming for high performance.
- Comprehend the need for balance between completing the task while maintaining relationships. Leaders should be able to move back and forth on the continuum as needed.
- Realize that their role in change management may entail being a leader and not a just a colleague. Leaders should be able to empathize with the work group and communicate information and decisions clearly and often.
- Use basic facilitation skills in meeting management, information sharing, and development of ground rules by each work group.
