As a faculty or staff member of The University of Iowa, are you aware of your Group Long Term Disability Insurance program and how benefits are calculated? Is the Group Long Term Disability benefit adequate to maintain your current standard of living? Attend this course for answers to these and other common questions surrounding the financial risk associated with the loss of a paycheck as a result of a long term sickness or injury.
Objectives (At the end of this course participants will be able to):
- Understanding the potential financial risk associated with becoming too sick or hurt to work. What are the chances and why should you be concerned?
- Have a general understanding of the benefits provided by The University of Iowa’s Group Long Term Disability Income Insurance Plan.
- Have a general understanding of how optional supplemental disability income could fill the “Income-Gap” that is left when the core Long Term Disability benefit is not enough.
