General Information—Each licensing board has its own criteria for accepting CEU’s. Some boards pre-approve courses while other boards require a written submission after attendance. If you need CEU’s to maintain a professional license, contact your licensing board to determine the procedure used.
CEU’s are automatically given at our all-day seminars, and available for Seven Habits of Highly Effective People®. For all other courses coordinated through our office, please see below.
How to Obtain CEU’s–If you would like to receive a CEU certificate for courses you've completed from Learning & Development, simply follow the steps below.
- Print your "Completed Sessions" section from "My Training" on Employee Self Service highlighting the course(s) for which you are requesting a CEU.
- Complete and print the "Continuing Education Registration Card" from the Center for Conferences and Institutes.
- Mail these along with a $10 processing fee for each course to: The Center for Conferences & Institutes, Attn: CEU Department, 116 IC, Iowa City, IA 52242.
For further information regarding Continuing Education Units, please contact the Center for Conferences & Institutes at 319-335-4141, or email Conferences/Institutes at conferences@uiowa.edu.
Please note: 10 contact classroom hours = 1 CEU
