Examine the link between stress and insomnia, and discuss solutions that could help you and your family stress less and sleep better. Lack of sleep has a devastating impact on overall health and work performance; once we can break the stress/insomnia cycle, overall health, attitude, and emotional well‐being improves.

Food as Medicine: The Obesity, Starvation, Addiction Triad

Many people struggle with obesity without understanding the links between starvation, hunger, addiction and obesity.  Learn how addiction to junk food occurs, and the steps you can take to overcome the addiction to foods that drive obesity and other chronic diseases. *This is a 1-hour session from 12:00-1:00 p.m.

Nutrition on the Go! - Spring 2010 EAST CAMPUS LOCATION

Join JoAnn Miller, MS, RD, LD, for three sessions on quick, healthy eating. Discuss healthy snacks, eating out, quick meals at home and lunch ideas with a focus on finding healthy foods to fit our busy lifestyles. Some sessions will include food samples and recipes.

Join representatives from Organizational Effectiveness in exploring areas where you can tap into various energy boosters. Unlike time, which is a finite resource, our capacity to expand and renew our personal energy is virtually infinite. Self-care is a trait that resilient individuals exhibit. We all know that proper sleep, exercise, nutrition, and stress management techniques can improve our energy, but what is the key to good self care practices. Explore using your body as a physical tool to help  accomplish all that you need in a way that doesn’t leave you feeling depleted at the end of the day.
