Information: Intel Inc. sponsored HPC system. The system model is VXR048, made by VXTech of Ciara Technologies. The system has 48 (VXblade) nodes (VXB-7520J with EMT 64T Intel-Itanium 2 Xeon). Each node has duel core, 64-bit, EMT Xeon processor (3.4 GHz, 4GB memory, 100GB storage). The total has 96 processors. Each node PCI Express, duel infiniBand HCA-SLB-24 ports and duel Ethernet ports. The system has two interconnections: (1) Voltaire ISR 9096 10Gbps InfinBand Grid Director/Switch Router with 72 ports; (2) SMC 1Gbps Ethernet Switch with 48 ports. The aggregate peak performance is 1.305 TFLOPS. The aggregate is 192 GB memory, and 2.15 TB storage capacity. The system was engineered and delivered by VXTec, a division of Ciaratech. The system was configured as a dual-operated cluster (Window Compute Cluster 2003 and Rocks). The project is sponsored by Microsoft's HPC Division. Peak GFLOPS = 96*3.4*4=1305.6 (max.); Current Peak GFLOPS = 76*3.4*4=1033.6 (max.)
