Description

Knowledge-based CAD for Breast Imaging (KCBI)

Team members: Lifeng Zhang, Zhuli Gong, Ying Chen, Lu Zhang, Jun Ni, Laurie Fajardo

Today, breast cancer is the most prevalent form of cancer in women. Through regular mammographic screening, the mortality of breast cancer can be reduced significantly due to early detections. However, it is often a tough task and challenge for radiologists to provide an accurate diagnostics in an enormous number of c within a relatively short period of time, especially for developing counties. People begin to utilize computer-aided detection (CAD) to assist radiologists in regular mammographic screening improving diagnostic efficiency and accuracy.
