Description

Modeling of Biotransport in Biological/Physiological Systems (MBBS)

Mathematical modeling and numerical simulations of biomedical systems using various transport and mixture theories. The project includes the studies of development of a multi-phase and/or model for complex biological systems, measurements of diffusivities and permeabilities of biomedicine systems, modeling and simulation of brownian motion of cells and cell mobility.

1. Multi-scale modeling of bio-transport during thermotherapeutic processing

a. Microscopic conservation equations
b. Volume avergaed techniques
c. Macroscopic conservation equations
