I love cats. They are funny to watch, and kittens are even cuter. They are fuzzy and so frisky. I was at a neighbor’s and saw the kitten in the lilac bush, and it wouldn't come to me, so I ran home for the camera. It was shy like me. I knew I wouldn’t hurt it, but the kitten didn’t know it. My mom always says, “don’t be shy, nothing is going to hurt you,” so I knew how the kitten felt.

It was so cute under the bush.

This picture resembles a spirit of timidness in Iowa kids like me.

We are small town kids, and we like the simple things. Boys my age don’t see what I see, and if I can take a picture that will make kids look more at what is around them I will.

The picture of the kitten, I hope, tells people to slow down and look for what is right in their back yards. This was a wild little kitten, but I am still able to enjoy the moment I found it under the bush. My mom loves it, the picture makes her smile, she has it as her background (desktop). My dad is a hunter, and so am I. He likes to take pictures of the animals in their habitat, and I think that is where I learned to look for what most people don’t see or look for.

It’s neat to think that I can share pictures with people that don't have the way to see the animals.
