“The Garage Spider”

The spider is on the driveway by my Grandma and Grandpa’s house. It looks like it has six legs, but two legs are close together. They eat other bugs that bother us. They kill the nasty bugs and mosquitoes that people do not like. They make us happier in the summer.

I picked this picture because people try to kill spiders and this is a good example that they aren’t creepy crawlers. It has a nice little round body and you can barely see the eyes. We don’t have to worry about spiders because they catch mosquitoes in their beautiful webs that are colorful, in the sun. The UV rays reflect on it and make the web look colorful.

I have a book that tells about spiders. Some spiders are poisonous. Two poisonous spiders in Iowa are the Black Widow and the Brown Recluse Spider.

I feel happy about spiders. They are helpful and help our earth.
