Software

We normally provide recent versions of Microsoft Office -- which includes:

What additional software will your work at Obermann require? Please note any software you can bring and want installed on your OberComputer. We have a limited number of licenses for WordPerfect, Dreamweaver and Photoshop Elements.

Printing

We connect you to our local area network so that you have access to our laser printer in the main office. It is an HP 4300, capable of 1200 dpi and can duplex (print on both sides of paper). It has paper trays for plain paper and University letterhead. We also have a color laser Windows users can access over the network. If you will have a need for a desktop printer let us know. We have several injet printers for people who need them.

     

The Multimedia Suite and expert help
please check off those you think you will need.

The Multimedia Suite has, available for your use: Scanners for images & documents, film and transparency scanners and large formast (11 x 17"). We will help you scan. If you have a need for high quality scans for publication see Karla.
We also have the ability to digitize audio cassettes
We have a machine that converts video tapes (VHS) to DVD
We have a TiVo hooked up to Campus Cable that can record TV progams and dub them off to DVD. TiVo has the ability to record entire series.
Many, but not all of our Windows computers are equipped to burn DVDs. You can burn them in the Multimedia Suite, but if you need this ability on your desktop let us know.
We can help you create Web pages or improve any you may already have.
Karla, our Academic Tech Specialist, is a Photoshop expert and can help you with many of your image problems or help you create or improve images.
We have a TV with a video player you can wheel to your office to watch VHS tapes. All our computers can play DVDs
The Multimedia Suite has a video and audio editing station.
