Herky Takes D.C.
The Hawkeye Caucus, a group of University of Iowa alumni, students, employees, and friends that advocates the university’s goals and mission and promotes communication from the university, stepped up to the national stage with a visit to Washington, D.C., in 2011. Herky joined the UI delegation for the trip, and was able to find some spare time in between meetings with UI alumni and Iowa’s members of Congress for a walking tour of D.C. sights.
