2008 Iowa State Fair
August 7-17

The University of Iowa will present some of its remarkable programs and people at the University of Iowa Booth at the 2008 Iowa State Fair. Here are some updates:

July 8: Orientations for new volunteers will be 5 p.m. July 28 at the Athletics Hall of Fame, 2425 Prairie Meadow Drive, Iowa City and 5 p.m. August 4 at the Pappajohn Education Center, 1200 Grand Ave. in Des Moines. These orientations will give volunteers an idea what to expect and more information on some of the activities planned in the exhibit. Shirts and fair tickets will also be distributed to new volunteers.

July 8: Volunteer shifts are filling up fast, but help is still needed for several evening shifts. Sign up now using the Volunteer Form. The Volunteer Schedule will be upated as volunteers are added.

June 3: Exhibitors have been scheduled. Herky, dance and cheer squads will be at the exhibit 3-7 p.m. Aug. 7,8,9,10, 15 and 16.
