University Communication and Marketing is an administrative unit reporting to the Vice President for Strategic Communication. We work with central administration, as well as with colleges and units across campus, to advance the ideals on which our university speaks with one voice—the preeminent value of learning, discovery, and engagement; the belief that diversity serves these missions; and the embrace of free thought and free speech.
University Communication and Marketing promotes these ideals through communications that reach a range of audiences, from faculty, staff, and students on campus to alumni and friends all over the world.
Manage the flow and exchange of information, internally and externally, in a timely, clear, and honest way.
Utilize the most recent developments in communications technology and encourage creativity in finding effective, accessible, and influential ways to deliver messages.
Form relationships within University Communication and Marketing and across the university to make the best use of resources and expertise.
Build an environment of trust and respect where we can produce our best work.
