Clinical/Counseling Interests:  I approach counseling with an integrative stance incorporating principles from Interpersonal and Dynamic Therapies, Family Systems, and Feminist Therapy.  My clinical specialties include:  relationship and family problems; self-esteem problems; couples therapy and relationship violence; healing from trauma, existential and developmental issues; and identity concerns related to gender and sexual orientation.

Multicultural Interests:  I am personally and professionally committed to social justice efforts regarding the fair treatment and full equal rights for persons of all genders and sexual orientations.  I sit on the Advisory Board for the Women’s Resource and Action Center.  I also have a strong interest in issues related to social class, first generation college students, racial/ethnic identities, and sexual orientation and gender “coming out” processes.

Outreach Interests: Leadership and team-building; personality assessment through use of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI); communication and relationship building skills; academic skills; graduate student support; overview and processing of general mental health concerns (e.g., depression, anxiety, eating disorders, stress management).
