UIMA volunteers are crucial to the success of the Museum. There are many opportunities to get involved at the UIMA, including:

UIMA Docent Program: UIMA docents help share the experience of art with visitors and students. To become a docent, you must attend training classes, commit to leading tours for visitors of all ages, and be a museum donor. If you are interested the UIMA Docent Program, complete the form below indicating your level of experience, and you will be contacted when the next docent training classes are scheduled.

Events: Help plan, prepare, and execute Museum fund-raising events, exhibition openings and receptions, and other special activities.

General Office: Assist curators with organization of collection files, help with Museum mailings, perform data entry relating to various Museum activities, and other office tasks.

Visitor Services (Greeter): Volunteers provide friendly and energetic greeting to visitors, welcome participants for special events and programs, hand out brochures, and answer basic questions about the Museum. Volunteers must be able to stand for up to two hours at a time.
