squareVisit the Museum

**The UIMA building is closed due to the 2008 Flood. The Museum staff has been temporarily relocated to the Studio Arts Building (formerly Menards), 1375 Highway 1 West, Iowa City (map). The Museum's mailing list and staff members' contact information (phone, e-mail) remain the same.


Directions

From I-80

  1. Take the Dubuque Street exit (exit #244) south
  2. From Dubuque Street going south, turn right on Park Road.
  3. From Park Road, turn left on Riverside Drive.
  4. Driving south on Riverside Drive, the Museum of Art will be on the left hand side. The entrance to the Museum is located on the east side of the building.

From Highway 6:

  1. Highway 6 heading east merges into Riverside Drive going south. However, you can only access North Riverside Drive heading north.
  2. When heading south, visitors may turn around on an adjacent street to access North Riverside Drive (drivers may turn around on either Iowa or Burlington streets to head north).
  3. Drivers on Highway 6 heading west: turn left on Riverside Drive and head north.
  4. Drivers on Highway 1 heading east: turn right on Riverside Drive and head north.

Parking

There is metered parking available in the lot directly north of the Museum. There is also metered parking off of River Street heading west from the Museum. The lot is located behind the School of Art and Art History. You can access the Museum of Art from the east side entrance, indicated by the red arrow in the map. Simply follow the sidewalks to the east side of the Museum.
