Student engagement in productive learning, inside and outside the classroom, is a critical factor in student success. The Academic Advising Center promotes student-faculty interaction, engagement in service learning, a respect for diverse learning styles, high expectations for students, and student-to-student cooperation for a supportive and rewarding educational environment. At The University of Iowa, there are numerous opportunities for meaningful engagement through the Civic Engagement Program); student-led service organizations such as Dance Marathon and The 10,000 Hours Show.
