Law School Fair - October 27, 2011

Main Lounge, Iowa Memorial Union 11 AM - 3 PM

Free and open to all

The Academic Advising Center and the student law fraternity, Phi Alpha Delta, are hosting a Pre-Law / Law School Fair that will bring admissions representatives from more than one hundred law schools to The University of Iowa. This is an opportunity for anyone interested in attending law school to meet informally with law school representatives, gather information about different law school programs and learn about the admissions process.

Admission is free and the fair is open to anyone, students and non-students alike. Current and future law school applicants are encouraged to speak one-on-one with representatives (who can often influence admission decisions at their schools) about their specific situation, from grades to their application personal statement to financial aid needs. You can learn about law schools that you might not even have known about, you can pick up fun freebies and sometimes even get application fee waivers.

KAPLAN Test Preparations services will be giving away one free LSAT Prep Course. Just come to the Law Fair and visit the KAPLAN table for a chance to win.

Why attend? "I want to make sure I have all the information I need going into taking the LSATs," Indiana University junior Jackie Jednachowski said at a law school fair last fall. "I'm curious to hear what (admissions officers) are looking for because applying to law school is extremely different than the last time I applied to colleges."
