3/31/05 12:30pm GENERAL MEETING Rm 275
Board elections this week, Thursday, 12:30--1:30p, at Room 275. There will be Chinese food! The positions open are as follows: 2 Co-Presidents, 1 VP, 1 Secretary, 1 Treasurer, and 1 Webmaster. The 1L Liason will be elected during the school year. This is a great opportunity for people to become more involved and make yourself heard.

Please bring your schedule and any questions you have about professors, classes, etc. I expect all officers and some 3L members to be there to give you advice on your legal career. It will be informative and fun at the same time. If you have any questions, contact Helen or Liz--or any officers.

AALSA is known for its excellent potlucks. Help keep this reputation alive on February 5, 2005 at our second official potluck of the 2004-2005 academic year! This is the single most anticipated event of the year so bring your best dish to share and hang out for the night. It doesn't have to be an Asian dish =)

Directions:
Take Melrose WEST from the law school (past the tennis courts and hospital). Turn LEFT on Sunset and go about 7 blocks on Sunset. Turn RIGHT on Aburdeen Court.

A panel of students from the university of iowa discuss their experiences (or lack thereof) with racism. speakers such as Ismael Ileto and Aimee Baldillo follow this discussion with a variety of approaches to examining the topic of racism against asian americans.
