On behalf of Asian American Law Students Association at the College of Law, I would like to welcome you to a new phase of your life. Law school will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience to you (and we hope it's only once) as it has been for all of us.
As an extra-curricular student organization at the law school, AALSA is here to make sure that our members enjoy law school despite myriad horror stories and lawyer jokes out there. While many of our activities are social and fun filled, we are unlike other student organizations in that we have an Asian American focus. Although our existence draws upon a sense of community as Asian Americans in the profession, our goals go beyond creating a law school clique that bases solely on our ethnic identity.
You do not have to be Asian American to join us. If you are even slightly interested in Asian Pacific or Asian American issues, AALSA is the organization to join. Or if not even that, you just want to have some fun or academic support--we welcome you, because we are also law students who have been through what you are going through.
