FYI

FYI stands for First Year Iowa, and involves second and third year students who volunteer to work with our Orientation Program and to mentor a small group of first year students throughout their first year of law study.

FYI students receive training to participate in orientation and to serve as first year mentors. They contribute to future orientation programs with their input and evaluation of each year's orientation, and maintain their interaction with mentees throughout the first year. FYI is supported by the Academic Achievement Program and the Student Services Office. For more information, contact Dr. Marty Peters in Room 189 or Dean Linda McGuire in the Student Services Office.
