One of the most important services of our local chapter is performed by Committee A on Academic Freedom and Tenure. Committee A provides confidential advice and assistance to faculty members who experience problems or disputes. Committee A is especially concerned with issues involving academic freedom, tenure, promotion, and due process.

The members of Committee A are senior faculty members who are very familiar with the procedures and practices of the University, and who have years of experience dealing with faculty grievances. All contacts and conversations with Committee A are strictly confidential.
