When people go to the market they usually wear their very best, most colorful clothing because they know they will meet friends and neighbors and exchange news and trade with them. Here at the market in the important city of Segu, some women have set up their market displays along a street, while others have set up shop in shaded shelters farther back. Two of the women wear brightly colored tie-dyed cloth.
