This is an enormous, cast bronze replica of a mask from Burkina Faso, erected in front of a new conference center in Ouagadougou. It is intended to express prode in Burkina's unique and very rich cultural heritage. However, it is a very inaccurate representation of a mask from the Bwa people, as you can see by comparing it to the picture of the Bwa mask at right.
