Glossary

obfuscations:

Ideas made difficult to perceive or understand.

obliquely:

Indirect or evasive.

obscures:

Makes unclear or indistinct.

ontological:

Dealing with the nature of human existence.

oracle:

A person, such as a priestess, through whom God responds when consulted.

oracles:

People, such as priestesses, through whom God responds when consulted.

oratory:

Eloquence or skill in making speeches to the public.

orifices:

Openings, especially to a passage of the body such as the mouth.

ornately:

Elaborately, heavily, or excessively ornamented.

ornithologist:

A person who studies birds.

ostensibly:

Seeming like.

overt:

Open and observable; not hidden, concealed, or secret.

ovoid:

Shaped like an egg or oval.

oxides:

A chemical term referring to elements mixed with oxygen; iron oxide is rust.
