Description/Background:

After researching the "Art and Life in Africa" CD, the Internet and other sources, the students will work in small groups of 3-4. They will first locate an appropriate space in the school for a mural. They will meet with staff from this location at the school (i.e. science teachers, music teachers) and interview with them for what they would like to see included in the mural. The students would then go back and each student in the group would design a proposal. These would be taken back to the staff for further discussion. A final draft would then be proposed, painted and then hung in the school.
