Workshop Calendar Spring 2009

Assignment for Workshop #10 (Dec 3-4):

         1. Bring a "My Favorite Author" book to share in small group

         2. "Success Stories" - Write about a rewarding experience you've had while tutoring

         3. "Success Stories" - Write two ideas that have worked well for you

***REMINDER: Notify your children and teachers if you will not be tutoring Monday or Tuesday of Thanksgiving Break

Payroll Due: Monday, December 1st by 2:00pm (The first day back from Thanksgiving Break)

Assignment for Workshop #9 (Nov 19-20):

          Compile descriptions of writing projects that have worked well for you. Be as explicit as you can! They can be for emergent, beginning or transition readers. The idea is to have a section in our "New Binder" that includes practical support from "those who've been there", or at least to gather a collection of writing success stories (based on an approached that worked well) to share with future tutors.
         If you won't have a writing idea that's worked well for you, write about what you need more guidance about. Once again you need to be specific. The specifics are the way to truly help your audience (Joy & other tutors) understand the essence of your message.
