Misha Quill
Background:
I am a first year graduate student in feminist cultural anthropology with a background in Communications and Women's Studies. I've spent much of the last ten years in public radio, mostly as a project manager for American RadioWorks, a national documentary production team. More recently, I worked for Minneapolis-based Center for Victims of Torture, an international NGO that focuses on psycho-social counseling for survivors of torture and war trauma; advocating for changes in U.S. policy and providing training and infrastructure assistance for other non-profits and health-care providers. While I'm not entirely sure where to focus my attention, broadly speaking, I am drawn to questions of identity, gender, violence and change.
