Sarah Trabert
Background:
Sarah is a third year graduate student in archaeology with a focus on studying late prehistoric and early historic groups through the ceramics and evidence of culinary traditions they left behind. She completed her undergraduate education at Kansas State University and recently received her MA from the University of Iowa. She has worked on several sites throughout Kansas and in West Branch, IA, but her most recent work has been in the Scott County State Park in western Kansas studying Puebloan and early Apachean settlements. Sarah’s dissertation work will likely focus on early Apachean groups living on the plains and their ceramic technology, culinary traditions, social identity, and regional interactions with other contemporary groups.
