Language, Culture and Performance was an experimental multi-media course in which honors students learned to think about language use and communication as forms of expressive performance. Students learned ethnographic research methods and techniques for documenting communicative performances.
The also course introduced students to multi-media software and programs for making interactive web pages.

Groups of students conducted ethnographic research on communicative situations in the Iowa City community and constructed the web sites presented here to disseminate their research.
