Welcome to No Shame Theater
Misson Statement
The purpose of this project is to examine the
culture of "No Shame Theater." Specifically, we wanted to look at the relationships
between audience and performers, performers with each other, and the motivation
behind performing. We also tried to examine the norms of this type
of theater and the expectations of both the performers and the audience.
In order to do this type of ethnography, we had to look at the communications
of language involved. We studied the spoken and unspoken interactions
and interviewed some "No Shame" performers. This was done in order
to gain insight into the attitudes and feeling of the people involved in
"No Shame."
