CV (in word)

In my pedagogical activities, I not only teach but also draw parallels within and between the languages I know fluently and am aware of. I am amazed at how they act and I want to show the levers of that mechanism to my students: it is my conviction that languages, as well as other sciences, should be learned consciously. However, this does not mean that grammar occupies me entirely. Being a teacher of Russian and English, I love to teach them for communication interwoven with the culture of the target language. This is what I do in teaching the course of Russian for adults and First Year Russian. I also provide translation and interpretation services at the University, local community, and elsewhere. Given my long expertise in that combined sphere of linguistics and social work as well as the fact that I am also a teacher of English, I have prepared the outline of a class on the art of rendering. I hope to teach this course in which I intend to show the specific features of Russian and English, their commonalities and differences, and the ways of transferring ideas from one language to the other by taking into account sociolinguistic settings and, hence, by the means of the target language.
