About the Officers

Elizabeth Fox

Elizabeth is the co-president of the Anthropology Student Organization and is the most knowledgable about the functions of the organization, such as meeting times and locations or ASO events. She is a senior graduating in the Spring of '08 at the University of Iowa. Her chosen field in Anthropology is Archaeology and her intended focus is Museum Studies. After graduation, she plans to attend graduate school.

Emily Eide

Emily is the co-president of the Anthropology Student Organization and like Elizabeth, knows a great deal about the functions of the organization. She is a junior in Anthropology and her chosen field is Archaeology. Her intended focus is the study of indigenous cultures of Peru and of the Pacific Northwest. Next semester, Emily will be going to Peru under a study abroad program to get field experience. After graduation, she plans on attending graduate school.

Briana Horwath

Briana is the treasurer for the Anthropology Student Organization and handles the financial affairs of the ASO. She is in the graduating class of 2008 here at the University of Iowa and her chosen field in Anthropology is Biological Anthropology. Her intended focus is paleopathology, the study of ancient diseases and the history of past diseases. After graduation, Briana plans to to enter graduate school.

Jordan Thomas

Jordan is the media officer of the Anthropology Student Organization, responsible for the maintenance of the ASO website and any web development related to the organization. He is in his second year at the University of Iowa and his chosen field is Cultural Anthropology. His intended focus is world religion and mythology. After graduation, he plans to enlist with the Peace Corps.

Jennifer Roberts

Jennifer is the secretary for the Anthropology Student Organization, handling the notation of our meetings, ideas, and activities. She is in her senior year at the University of Iowa. Jennifer is graduating this spring and her focus is Archaeology. After leaving the University of Iowa, she plans to work with the Student Conservation Association.

Rachel Kopf

Rachel is the publicity officer for the Anthropology Student Organization and is responsible for creating and maintaining our image and presence on campus by way of t-shirts, flyers, and so on. She is a senior, graduating from the University of Iowa this spring. Her chosen field in Anthropology is Archaeology and her intended focus is North American Archaeology. After graduation, Rachel plans to find a job.
