Training Resources, a service of ISAPDA

In 1992, Iowa Department of Public Health, Division of Health Promotion, Prevention, and Addictive Behaviors, disseminated a request for proposals to coordinate training for substance abuse professionals in the State of Iowa. The Iowa Substance Abuse Program Directors’ Association (ISAPDA) was awarded the grant, and Training Resources, a service of ISAPDA, was born. The Iowa Department of Public Health has been a long time supporter of the Annual Summer School for Helping Professionals and has directed Training Resources to continue that support. Training Resources, a service of ISAPDA continues to strive to bring accessible and excellent training opportunities to Iowa for substance abuse professionals. The Annual Summer School for Helping Professionals is an important conference that helps professionals maintain excellent proficiencies and challenges professionals to discover new theories and methods.
