NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship: The NCAA awards approximately 150 scholarships to graduating seniors who have excelled academically and athletically and who plan to attend graduate school. The award is a non-renewable grant of $5000 to be used for graduate study -Minimum GPA of 3.0
-Competing in final year of eligibility
-Performed with distinction in their sport
-Academic and Athletic achievement weighted equally



Other Sports-April

NCAA Women's and Ethnic Minority Enhancement Programs Postgraduate Scholarships: The NCAA awards one time grants of $6000 each year to 12 womena nd 12 ethnic minorities enrolled in graduate programs in sports administration or a related field.

-Must be accepted into an NCAA member institution's sports adminsitration or related graduate program
-Must have performed with distinction as a student


Walter Byers Scholarship: Awarded annually in honor of the former Executive Director of the NCAA. Two students; one male and one female, each receive $10,000 to be used for graduate study. -Minimum GPA of 3.50
-Competing in final year of eligibility
-Academic achievement, leadership and citizenship


NACDA Pre-Season Games Scholar Athlete Awards: NACDA awards one time rants of $5000 to five football students and five students in other sports to be used for graduate study. -Minimum GPA of 3.0
-Earned all-conference or all-American honors
-Must plan to attend graduate school
-Must have demonstrated leadership qualities


Other Sports-February

Robert F. Ray Scholarship: Given each year by the UI Board in Control of Athletics in honor of the former UI Faculty Athletics REpresentative to two students, one male and one female, a one-time grant of $1000 to be used for graduate study at the University of Iowa -Graduating senior in the last season of competition
-Will pursue graduate study at Iowa
-Must have demonstrated outstanding academic and athletics excellence and leadership
C.D. Henry Big Ten Conference Internship: Named in honor of the first minority assistant commissioner, the Big Ten Conference offers a one-year internship, subject to renewal for a second year, at teh Conference office for an ethnic minority student who is interested in a career in athletics. -Must have completed requirements for an undergraduate degree
-Commitment to pursuing a career in sports administration
NCAA National Office Internship: The NCAA offers approximately eight one-year internships at the National Office for women and ethnic minorities who are interested in careers in athletics administration. -Must have completed requirements for undergraduate degree
-Commitment to pursuing a career in intercollegiate athletics
