Fred Mims

Education: BA degree in English and MA degree in Higher Education from the University of Iowa.

Work Experience: Mims has been a staff member of the Iowa Athletic Department for over 30 years, having served as assistant baseball coach, athletic counselor, Assistant Athletic Director and since 1989 as Associate Athletic Director.

Key Duties: His major responsibilities include sports administrator, compliance and student support services which involves rules education; certification and eligibility; admissions, financial aid and housing; academic support services and monitoring; and life skills activities.
