Education: Earned a BS and an MS degree from Bowling Green State University.

Experience: Spent 16 years with the University of Iowa Men's Basketball program. Prior to that, served as head basketball coach for Florida International University where he was the first head coach of the program. Also coached at Elmhurst College in Illinois, Western Michigan and Bowling Green. Inducted into the Bowling Green State University Hall of Fame in 1995.

Personal: Rich is a native of Inkster, Michigan. He is married to Janet and has two sons, Joseph and Michael. Michael plays basketball at Southern Methodist University. Joseph works and resides in the Phoeniz, Arizona area.
