This half human-half bat found in the Maquoketa caves of Iowa just a few short months ago. This abomination was quickly captured and taken to research labs at the University of Iowa. There it was subjected to experiments and tests but the creature grew restless and broke loose sometime during the night. Head of the research, doctor Kenneth Ryerson says that for the batboy to escape it would have to have a hightened strength of 11 men as the cage had electroshocks and four inches of solid steal.
Doctor Ryerson and team quickly informed the police. There was a ground search throughout the campus. Unfortunately the first sign of the batman wasn't spoted until the first attack.
First Aid arrived on the seen around 10:23pm. There they found the victim of an attack by what is assumed the creature. The assualted man was Tom Denault. After later recovery he described to the police a rustle in the trees and then a dark image coming towards him at a fast speed. He had no time to react and was ripped apart, bit at and bruised all over. He also said it was to dark to see clearly but the attacker was abviously something unhuman.
Police advice all citizens staying at the university during this time to stay indoors, especially at night, until the problem is taken care of.
