The Corporation
FILM SUMMARY

The corporation has arguably risen to the position of the most powerful institution of our time. Corporations provide many of us with jobs, useful consumer products, and scientific and medical breakthroughs. They are also responsible for the loss of huge numbers of American jobs, the exploitation of cheap foreign labor and resources, environmental degradation, and political manipulation. With insight from Michael Moore, Noam Chomsky, and Howard Zinn, among others, these are some of the issues explored in the documentary "The Corporation" as it discusses the product of the seed planted by the 1886 Supreme Court decision that legally classified corporations as "people" that should enjoy the same constitutional protections as human beings: life, liberty, and the pursuit of profits.
