FILM SUMMARY
Kenji is a lonely, obsessive-compulsive librarian who spends his days in Bangkok fantasizing about various ways to commit suicide. He is jolted out of his introverted existence when he ends up with two Yakuza corpses in his room and witnesses a car strike a young girl dead, interrupting his plan to jump off a bridge. Despite a language barrier and a complete clash of personalities, Kenji confides in the distraught driver, Noi, as an unlikely romance comes into view. Featuring the work of famed cinematographer Christopher Doyle, "Last Life in the Universe" is "equally charming and addicting all the way through" (Eric Compos, Film Threat). FILM LINKS
