FILM SUMMARY
The Paul Green School of Rock Music is a unique institution in Philadelphia dedicated to teaching children ages 9 through 17 to rock skillfully. ROCK SCHOOL follows an entire season of classes and establishes school founder, director, and self-proclaimed "uberlord" Paul Green as a complex, contradictory, and unforgettable character. A whirling dervish of manic, pinball-machine energy, Green is at once sensitive and verbally abusive; generous-spirited and mercilessly critical. But as tornado-like as his tantrum-filled teaching style can be, Green's commitment to his students' goal of achieving musical greatness is never in doubt. "In this day of dumbing down and coddling students, it's refreshing to see a teacher push his students to levels of accomplishment they didn't think was possible" (Hollywood Reporter). FILM LINKS
