FILM SUMMARY
Overnight presents the rags-to-riches-to-rags story of Troy Duffy, a "wolf in artist's clothing." Life becomes sweet for Duffy when he sells an action-movie screenplay ("The Boondock Saints") to Miramax and pens a deal to direct the film and provide songs for the soundtrack. Suddenly Hollywood's "next big thing," Duffy asks two of his friends to grab video cameras and document every moment of his rise to glory. The footage captured by his friends becomes the genesis for a very different, but much more fascinating film as Duffy systematically alienates friends, family, and the entire film industry with his arrogance, vanity, and narcissism.
