Prerequisite: Organic Chemistry II (4:122) or equivalent.
Class Time: This course is scheduled for 9:30 MWF in 65 CB.
Textbook: Organic Synthesis, Michael B. Smith
Examinations: All examinations will be closed book. All extraneous materials (e.g. books, notebooks, summary sheets, purses, etc.) must be left at home or brought to the front of the room before the exam begins.
Three two-hour exams will be scheduled, two during the semester, and one during final exam week. These are now arranged for:

Tests will be of an essay type, where your answers are written in an exam booklet. Exam booklets will be provided.
Misc: Students should have access to a reasonable set of molecular models.
Departmental procedures regarding oral communication competence are posted in the Chemistry Center. To summarize, any complaints about oral communication competency should be directed to the Chemistry Department chair in writing.
Anyone who has a disability that may require some modification of seating, testing, or other class requirements should see me as soon as possible, so that appropriate arrangements may be made.
