What is the IaVS?
The Iowa Viola Society is a chapter of the American
Viola Society, a division of the International
Viola Society. Our general mission is to promote camaraderie amongst violists
from all walks of life, including professionals, teachers, amateurs, and students
-- even non-violists who have a love for the instrument. We sponsor activities,
including masterclasses and IaVS's annual Viola
Day. Events will be announced in our IaVS
Newsletter.
How Do I Join
the IaVS?
Membership in the IaVS is $10/year for regular membership and $5
for students. All IaVS members must be members in our parent organization,
the American Viola Society.
Annual dues for the AVS
are $35 for regular membership, $20 for students, and $15 for emeritus (65+)
membership. Click on AVS

Our general membership area includes the state of Iowa and its contiguous states, though membership is open to anyone who is a member of the AVS.
